Tricks To Get More Things Done During the Work Day

Tricks To Get More Things Done During the Work Day

Even though every single person on the planet (entrepreneur or not) has the same 24 hours to work with, not everyone gets the same productivity out of every 24 hour block of time.

As an entrepreneur, you need to find as many ways as humanly possible to leverage as much of your time as you can. We live in a super competitive business environment right now, and if you aren’t driving your business forward you had better believe your competitors are – and they might end up leaving you in the dust.

To better help you boost your productivity, we’ve put together these tips and tricks so that you can really rock ‘n roll!

Let’s dive right in.

Exercise bright and early in the morning

Sir Richard Branson (ridiculously successful entrepreneur and the founder of the Virgin brand of businesses) has stated time and time again that the MOST important thing he does every single day is work out for 45 minutes every morning. It gives him the energy he needs to push harder than anyone else, and he ends up getting a lot more done than his competitors – and his multibillion-dollar bank account is proof of that!

Write down a three item to do list every morning

After knocking out your morning workout, you’ll want to grab a blank index card and write down the THREE most important things you need to get done that day – and then do those three things and ONLY those three things before you do anything else!

As an entrepreneur, it’s really easy to add way more things to your plate than you could ever reasonably get done. This is going to cause all kinds of stress, pressure, and frustration, and if you divert your focus across 100 different little things you’ll never be able to get any of them done to a satisfactory level – and your business will backslide because of it.

While the early days of your business are going to involve a lot of “throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks” as far as your business processes are concerned, the sooner you can systemize as much of what you do in a day the faster your business will succeed.

It is patently impossible to have any real measure of success in business these days alone (and because of how easy – and inexpensive – it is to outsource and higher remote workers, it’s irresponsible, too), and the faster you can systemize and delegate things the sooner you will be able to take your hands off the wheel a bit while still driving your business forward.

Systemize and delegate. Systemize and delegate. Systemize and delegate.

That’s the quick road to success!

Quit multitasking

While you might feel like you are way more productive when you are multitasking, the truth of the matter is you are diverting your focus, slowing down your progress, and chewing up way more time than you should be if you had only focused on one thing and one thing only before pushing forward with something else.

Stop multitasking ASAP and knockout one thing on your to do list before you move forward to the next thing, and so on and so forth. You’ll get a lot more done (a lot faster) and you’ll feel more productive, too!
